CSCS Practice Test

Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: 25 July 2026 · Last updated: 25 July 2026

This site is free to use and always will be. Right now it carries no advertising and no affiliate links at all, and earns nothing. This page sets out in advance how we would handle them if that changes, so the rules are on the record before there is any money involved.

This disclosure is made in line with the Advertising Standards Authority's CAP Code and consumer protection law, which require commercial relationships to be made clear.

1. Where things stand today

There are currently no affiliate links on this site and no advertising. Every outbound link goes to an official or authoritative source: CITB, CSCS, HSE, legislation.gov.uk or a named charity helpline. None of them earns us anything.

If that changes we will update this page first, and mark any affiliate link at the point of use rather than only here.

2. What we would ever earn from

None of these are in place today. If one is added, the link will be marked as an affiliate link at the point of use, not only on this page.

  • Official CITB revision publications and digital downloads.
  • Revision apps and other study aids.
  • Training providers offering qualifications such as the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment.
  • PPE and general construction retailers.

3. What we never earn from

We do not take a commission on the CITB HS&E test fee or on CSCS card applications, and we never will. When we tell you the test costs £23.50 or a card costs £36, we are reporting the official fee, not selling it.

Book your test through CITB and Pearson VUE, and apply for your card through CSCS. Both should be done directly, and we will always send you there rather than through a middleman.

4. Display advertising

There is no advertising on this site, and no ad network code is loaded. Our cookie banner does not ask for advertising consent, because there is nothing to consent to.

If advertising is introduced we will say so here, add the category back to the cookie banner and ask you again rather than relying on a choice you made when there were no ads. We would not control which individual adverts appear, and an advert would never be a recommendation from us.

5. Our editorial independence

Commission does not buy influence. Our recommendations are based on what we judge to be useful, and our reported facts are based on official sources.

In practice that means we will tell you when the free official option is the better one. CITB publishes a free sample MAP test, our own mock tests are free, and where a paid product is unnecessary we say so, even though saying so earns us nothing.

No advertiser or affiliate partner reviews our content before publication or has any right of approval. The full position is in our Editorial Policy.

6. Prices and availability

Prices we quote for third-party products were correct when checked and are subject to change by the retailer. Always confirm the current price on the retailer's own site before buying.

7. Your choice

You are never obliged to use our links. If you would rather not, search for the product directly and buy it there. The site works identically either way, and nothing is withheld from readers who do not click through.

8. Questions

If you want to know whether a specific link is an affiliate link, ask us at contact@cscspracticetest.co.uk and we will tell you straight.
